SwipeNow, owned and operated by Lamont Mitchell, started in 1998 as an Independent Sales Office (ISO) of First Savings Bank. Over a period of 10 years Lamont Mitchell and his team of payment professionals have been offering exceptional rates, service and technology throughout the local Pacific Northwest.
2003
Lamont Mitchell registered his sole proprietorship with Sterling Payment Technologies as an Independent Sales Office (ISO) aligning greater products and service offerings. While working with Sterling Payment Technologies, Lamont and his team received the "Best In Show" award in 2004 for the office with the highest customer retention.
2004
The company received its first endorsement through the Portland Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) as the preferred provider of credit card processing service to Portland area veterinary offices. Since 2004 SwipeNow has received endorsements for over 35 other trade organizations.
2005
Lamont Mitchell incorporated his sole proprietorship under the name Merchant Solutions & Services, Inc.
2007
Merchant Solutions & Services, Inc. signed with First Data Resources as a Direct Sales Office, offering new products and services, and sporting a new pricing structure to maximize savings for merchants.
2008
Merchant Solutions & Services, Inc. began operating under the DBA SwipeNow. The decision was made to add the DBA name to further differentiate the company from the competition and reduce the confusion from the commonality of "Merchant" & "Solutions" being used within company names.
2009 and beyond
SwipeNow's future plans are to strategically align itself with industry leaders and continue providing excellent service and processing to its client and future prospects.
